National Volunteer Week: Celebrating our fabulous volunteers

The 1st - 7th June is National Volunteer Week and to celebrate this, we want to shout about how brilliant our volunteers are.

Here at the Birmingham Adoption Centre we currently have around 60 volunteers. Our youngest volunteer is 6 years old and volunteers with their family and our eldest volunteer is in their early 70s. All of our volunteers are different and from all walks of life and they all help to make our Centre what it is today.

Our volunteer roles are really varied and include, cat care, website editor, social media, meet & greet, event organisers, event attendees, gardener, socialisers, hand rearers and tray washers - just to name a few!

We couldn’t achieve what we do without our amazing volunteers and the support and help that they give us, no matter what their role, goes towards finding happy homes for the cats in our care.

Although we like to thank our volunteers whenever we see them, to mark volunteer week we will be throwing a special thank you BBQ for them, to show them how much we appreciate them!

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, you can find out more about current opportunities at the Birmingham Adoption Centre here.
